An Ampersand (&) often means and is used as a substitute for “and.” The Ampersand symbol is unique, it’s curvy and somewhat abstract. It’s a character that’s not straight-edge. The Ampersand is somewhat adventurous, even flamboyant. It can stand for almost anything you want it to be.
The symbol can be drawn in many ways, it’s almost impossible to create an incorrect Ampersand. The character has been around since the 8th century, used in Latin language as “et” symbol. As a little-known fact, in the 19th century, the Ampersand was formally recognized as the 27th letter of the alphabet.
It can represent fluidity, union, or as an attachment to someone or something. For me, it represents my constant search in finding myself, which always continues to be an “and” statement.
